BACK to Standing Seam Metal Roofing

Fitzgerald's Sheet Metal Roofing Services

Thurmont, Maryland

A handsome, historic and most durable roofing, standing seamed metal roofing was the material of choice for all types of structures for more than a century, including barns, churches, covered bridges and public buildings. Paintable, lightweight and rigid, this material is remarkably versatile due to its ability to install over a range of surfaces and to meet a variety of design requirements. The economics and aesthetics of it are now again extremely favorable, and we have done installations on very high end new homes as well as the historic building types already mentioned. Our clients love it and we believe it is a material whose time has come. Almost any available roofing metal, including copper, terne and steel, can be used with relatively minor variation in labor cost. Our roll former can produce roof pans onsite that are the full length of the roof "run", allowing us to produce work with no horizontal seams. We have installed such pans as long as fifty feet.
